Anne de Leon has changed my life a great deal, for the better. I was terrified to even consider retirement because I was afraid I couldn't afford it. The thought of even trying to determine what income I could expect was overwhelming. After attending one of Annie's free seminars I was comfortable enough to meet with her one-on-one. In that first meeting she quickly helped me sign up for Medicare Part A (that I had already been eligible to receive at no additional cost to me). She gave me an overview of what information to gather to be ready to initiate the retirement process. In subsequent visits she distilled the information that was confusing to me, explained how to maximize what I had and gave me a clear picture of what to expect. Through Annie I discovered I was better prepared to retire than I had previously thought. She did a great deal of the leg work involved--all at no cost to me. Although she explained she would be paid by the vendors when I selected insurance, I felt I was exploiting her. She assured me I wasn't, and that she was "just doing her job". In actual fact she did way more than could be expected of any financial representative. She made calls and advocated for me, prepared previews of what to expect in retirement and even came in on days she had planned to take off to help me.
I am financially better off for having worked with Annie de Leon than if I had just taken what was offered for monthly compensation from the pensions I had. I am so much more at peace than I would have been had I attempted to muddle through the choices I had to make without her. I will be forever grateful for her help.
